I, Katharina Königsbauer-Kolb (CZT), am a certified zentangle teacher, book author and owner of this online shop. As a co-founder of the “Conzentric GbR”, I lead the training courses for Zentangle teachers in Europe.
Before I focused my life and professional direction on Zentangle I was a yoga teacher, advertising clerk and clothing engineer. Apparently very different job profiles, but the connecting element is my love for aesthetics, beauty and creativity.
For me, Zentangle is the ideal method to be creative, to have a great result and at the same time to allow myself a meditative break.
During my travels to different countries, I fell in love with the fascinating patterns from different cultures. How I could be creative with it, however, remained a great mystery to me. Years later, when I discovered Zentangle through a book, I was thrilled and unresponsive for a few hours.
In April 2015 I completed my training as a “Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT)” in the USA with Rick and Maria, the Zentangle founders. In 2016 my first book “Zentangle für jede Gelegenheit” was published by GU-Verlag and at the same time I founded the online shop. I have been the official distribution partner of Zentangle since 2018 and Tanglekunst Shop sends to customers and CZTs across Europe at special conditions. In the same year my second publication appeared in collaboration with a teacher “Entspannung mit Stift und Papier”.
As a team member of Conzentric GbR, I have been organizing and teaching the CZT-Seminars in Europe since May 2019.
And in addition to all these activities, I continue to give zentangle courses for large and small people. How do I manage all of this in addition to the normal everyday challenges of household with two children? I sit down, take a tile and take a deep breath …
